The year is over. Done with. Was it a bad year. No. Not really. But it is time for some continued change. I didnt make a formal resolution, this year. Instead I put my words into action. With the trajectory of last year in motion, I simply intend to continue to get out and be more interactive and social. So.. to embrace that sentiment and show my intent, I whisked Greg off to downtown on New Years eve.

How was it? It left some things to be desired. The revelry was subdued. No one was offering friendly happy new years wishes to strangers passing by (except me). We arrived a just shy of 10 pm after quite the downhill trek. We only got to dance to 1 song which was shining star. Crowds were made up of 20 somethings (its a college town) and The idea of standing in line in the 20 degree cold for a few hours to finally get a drink was not appealing. But despite those things, it was wonderful to be out. We sat for a bit by the lake, enveloped in darkness, drinking in serenity if not beverages. The brisk air filling our lungs.

All in all it was nice but it didnt fill the spot in my soul that desires to let go on the dance floor. Which is what I was most looking forwards to on NYE. After the let down that was the christmas party dancing. I need to see if electric six will be playing anytime near here soon. In the meantime, I have lined Greg and myself up for swing lessons once a week. They start this weekend.

Another thing starting this weekend are dog training lessons. We need to be aligned and consistent. Hopefully we can learn to curb/ redirect thier emotional reactions.

In other news, mom and daddy dan are coming for a visit the first week of Feb.

The holidays were strange and it felt more like Easter/Spring. Apt as the Sun/Son is reborn. The days are growing longer. Its not so so dark when I leave to or from work. Makes my smile bigger.

Whats going on over here?

I hear ther dogs shuffling around in the corner and so I decide to try and catch whats going on.

Seems the cat was tormenting them through the fence.

Big news... Connor turns 21 in a few weeks. I cant even believe it. Holy Mole! I say it that way cause he can be rather spicy sometimes.. or rather he is always trying to delicately balance his many bright flavors.

Although he has also been running himself ragged at work. And today the poor boy be looking like this:

Meanwhile, willow did a nose piercing thing.

Shes ready to step into the art classroom.

And lastly for this post

Willow and Max went to washington for christmas with his family and we got together a little later. Various things delayed our arrival a tad , which irked me a little. Not that it would show, however, we arrived at just the precise moment that a young woman returning home from her own Christmas festivities had blown her tire 10 minutesfrom home. She was a little panicked and in need of a little assiatance we were happy to provide. It turned out she works with max. It was a good reminder that it is a very small world and also to trust the flow.
