Rainbows eclipsed by shadows and followed by sunshine

Willow got me a watercolor eyeshadow pallete. Ive been making the most of it. My combinations dont always work. But sometimes the turn out pretty OK.

Occasionally I rock the team colors.

I had started the draft above the dotted line 3 mornings ago under a different working title that revolved around rainbows alone. Eluding, of course to the colors. This was,on a thursday, the day after the previous post in which I had written about how excited I was the the folks were flying in. By the end of the day my excitement had deminished and disappointment had taken its place. They were not coming.

Daddy Danny had his hip unexpectedly lock up on him. Sounds like my experience in Germany. And then during the night thier car was smashed into while parked in front of the house. Needless to say, events were not in favor of them travelling.

Darn it. Now what are we going to do. Greg and I have taken the week off. By Friday morning it was decided I would go to them instead and tickets were purchased before work started. I did laundry, cooked a weeks worth of food for the boys (connor did some prep work maing it a far smaller chore) and packed when I got home from work.

Greg is staying home, playing with the dogs and working on a few househod projects.

All things considered, things were able to be salvaged quite nicely. Add to it that one of my dearest friends birthdays is today and I will be there just a hair late to say congrats and welcome to the big five O.

Big skys are on the horizon.
