It summer family office party season. Mine was on Friday. Greg had his scheduled for Saturday. Plans changed, however, with the winds, as a tropical storm passed. Greg rescheduled his for next weekend and mine was moved indoors. Im not complaining at all that I wont be at Gregs on account of work. The three hours at mine were exhausting enough.

Connor joined for a bit and got to see the office. He had plans and only hung out until about the time Greg got there.

It went as such things do. Socializing. Games. Food and drink. My little nervous system taxed and overloaded. Becoming aware that a small handful of individuals have some very unexpected negative impressions of me. One based soley in misunderstanding and quickly resolved with a little time spent.

The other... well..- there is a deep well in her of bitter and ugly emotions fueling the jelousy I felt stabbed with. Holy cow it came out of left field and blindsided me. All of this conveyed energetically in under 30 seconds of exchange. I am seen as a threat. Having been away from people so long I forgot how I can trigger such reactions in others by just keeping my head down and doing and being me.

Anyway, there is not much that I can do or say there other then send a pray that her heart heal from whatever has caused such pain.

We dipped out at the first opertunity.

We hosted the afterparty. It was quite the different crowd. The over 50 set. I was the youngest. The cackle of old Hens filling the dinning table with raucous laughter while playing cards against humanity.

Holly who was considering renting our side room opted not to on account of shes planning to head back to AZ before the election. Two moves dont make sense and so she is going to stay where she is. But in the wake of the possibility of her moving in has lead to a whole host of furniture shifting activities... Which are still in progress.

Anyway back to the old ladies.... One had apparently gotten a little tipsy and handsy with another employee at the party. Brushing her nose against his shoulder and not concealing her appreciaiton of his scent with a hearty sigh. Later standing overly close in a face to face conversation and finally , during the gift lottery, reaching around his side to stroke his chisled (as one might well envision it to be) abdomen. He quickly snatched her hand away and didnt meet her eyes again after that. Lordy! And I thought I could be forward at times... but then again.. it usually takes me like 6 months of careful analysis of a person to decide if they are worthy of a pounce. Bwaahahaha!

The after party was over by 5:30.

Im not saying that the party was all horrible. Some fun was had.

Not having Gregs party made Saturday a very pleasant leisurely day. Starting right out with a bit of a mild morning TRIP followed by light chores and time spent in the pool.

We have caught some pretty impressive skies recently. With the storm and the influx of solar energy. Expressive. See any trolls? One looks kinda like a Gremlin.
