Greg and I took a little road trip through the winding backroads of Vermont this weekend. Our 2 hour drive leading us into the lush Lamoille Valley.

Our destination was quite remote and surrounded by farmland. We were headed to The Museum of Everyday Living. Somehow it seemed a fitting choice for a 26th anniversary get away, After all, we were celebrating our own "everyday living" in its own way.

This museum is unlike your typical idea of a museum. Housed in an old barn, this museum operates on a honor system, whereby you are responsible for turning the lights on and off and making sure to close the door behind you. It boosts of 2 collections. A permanent collection and a temporary collection. The permanent collection was a hodge podge of subject matter. Their website claims "Its mission is a heroic, slow-motion cataloguing of the quotidian–a detailed, theatrical expression of gratitude and love for the minuscule and unglamorous experience of daily life in all its forms" The temporary collection was also a hodgepodge, however, everything was connected through the theme of "Wheels."
Many of the exhibits had associated meditations linked to them. On of the most fascinating of them was related to Notes and Lists.
After we took in all the museum had to offer, we began to wind our way home. But first, a little stop off at the river for some peaceful scenic enjoyment.

All in all a great way to celebrate the years together.
In other news: The kids have returned to school. Con is up to his eyeballs in work and is already quite frazzled. His internship was reinstated. He may end up quitting his job at the grocery store. He is super close to typing up his resignation. Meanwhile, WIllow is quitting vaping. This is not an easy process and has willow struggling with some psychosis and feelings that I have failed them. I am human and imperfect but I have tried my best to do my best for Willow and that is all I can do. Now I must wait until Willow is ready to talk to me again.
The roommate- She is a little wild. Apparently she started dating another co-worker ( not the one she man handled at the work party) the weekend she moved in. As a result she spends a great deal of time down in NY at his place. And its all sorts of drama. Im expecting she wont end up moving to Arizona by the time the elections role around. as was her plan three weeks ago. I expect when it gets cold enough and uncomfortable out in that uninsulated cabin, she will just move in with him. Time will tell. She really is not any sort of inconvenience ... outside of the fact that the dogs don't get along and they need to be kept separate..
I did a little self pampering and got my hair refreshed. She did a spectacular job.

I interview for the position upstairs tomorrow. I am a hopeful.
