A dash of seasoning

The season of celebration is upon us. The stockings are hung. The trees (we bought 5 mini spruce that we will be planting in the yard to act as a wind break) have been lightly decorated.

The yule log has been adorned. It is a center piece in our celebrations and at the close of the holiday we will burn it in a bonfire in the yard.

This year we lit the backyard up with lights rather than the front. If we are going to go through the motions of putting up lights we might as well aim to get the most personal satisfaction from it. We can see the backyard from all the rooms but 3. And we lit up the firepit area to make it more welcoming. Max surprised willow a message and built some snowmen that she could see from her room.

Max is heading home to the west coast during vacation. It is going be a long few weeks for Willow with him gone.
